The Valley Troupers Northleigh
Formed in 1992, The Valley Troupers have staged a wide variety of productions at Northleigh's Village Hall. A one-night entertainment at the Harvest supper that year has grown into a regular annual production. We are always looking for members, so if you are interested in acting or helping behind the scenes, do get in touch. Rehearsals at Northleigh's village hall usually start at 7.45pm each Thursday evening from mid September until performance dates in late March or early April. Ask any member of the Troupers for details of the current production.
Out of Focus 2000
was written by Peter Gordon and published in 1989. It is set in the annexe of a church hall where a series of over-bookings have occurred. Various members of the local community arrive at the hall for such activities as brownies, a badminton match, the vicar's wife's new pantomime and a talk on steam trains, each claiming their rightful place. Confusion reigns until everyone finally unites in a common cause, the village play. During weeks of rehearsals, alliances are formed and broken as the cast battle against the odds as opening night draws near...
