The Valley Troupers Northleigh
Formed in 1992, The Valley Troupers have staged a wide variety of productions at Northleigh's Village Hall. A one-night entertainment at the Harvest supper that year has grown into a regular annual production. We are always looking for members, so if you are interested in acting or helping behind the scenes, do get in touch. Rehearsals at Northleigh's village hall usually start at 7.45pm each Thursday evening from mid September until performance dates in late March or early April. Ask any member of the Troupers for details of the current production.

There may not be a Vicar for the church at present but there were plenty to spare at the Northleigh Village Hall. Mike Faraday, Sue Child, Mark Watts, Tim Bucknall, Patrick McCaig, Graham Cole and Pat Conway on the set of "See how they run"
This year's production by the Valley Troupers of 'See How They Run' by Philip King was a great success judging by the feed-back from the audiences. The hall was full on both Friday and Saturday nights and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
Simon Potter instigated the selection of this farce and with Amanda Furnival, worked hard with the cast to achieve the high standard of performance expected of the Troupers. Tim Bucknall and his team constructed the superb set which included a staircase and large cupboard, Graham Cole did a magnificent job painting it, transforming it into a period vicarage living room and Pat Beard and Felicity Symes were in charge of the furnishing and final touches. People had to come and feel the walls on the set as the rustic woodwork looked positively 3 dimensional!
The cast had to work very hard to perfect the timing and action but really enjoyed themselves when it came to the performances. The back stage crew were there to help and support them, as usual. It was a great team effort illustrated by the turn out to take down the set and clean the Hall on the Sunday.
We are still hoping that someone can tell us the year that Lady Northleigh's Secret was performed so that we can decide what to do to celebrate our 20th year of drama in Northleigh.
