The Valley Troupers Northleigh
Formed in 1992, The Valley Troupers have staged a wide variety of productions at Northleigh's Village Hall. A one-night entertainment at the Harvest supper that year has grown into a regular annual production. We are always looking for members, so if you are interested in acting or helping behind the scenes, do get in touch. Rehearsals at Northleigh's village hall usually start at 7.45pm each Thursday evening from mid September until performance dates in late March or early April. Ask any member of the Troupers for details of the current production.

Breath of Spring 2002
was written by Peter Coke and first performed in London in March 1958. The play is set in a London apartment overlooking Kensington Gardens, where Dame Beatrice houses a collection of middle aged 'guests' with Lily, her maid. To repay Beatrice for giving her a job despite her criminal past, Lily presents her with a mink stole filched from next door. The brigadier deploys his 'troops' to retrieve the fur, but the campaign is so invigorating that they decide to retain the excitement in their lives by pinching furs and giving the proceeds to deserving causes.
