See How They Run 2007

Written by Philip King in 1942, the play is set in the idyllic village of Merton-cum-Middlewick. The plot centres on Rev. Lionel Toop and his wife Penelope, a former actress. The arrival of her old friend Clive, on leave from the army, and the presence of the local busybody Miss Skillon creates some hilarious circumstances and misunderstandings. The addition of a bishop (Penelope's uncle), an excitable housemaid, and an escaped prisoner of war lead to mistaken identities and a fast-paced evening of comic entertainment.
